Today, the worn urban tissue as an important issue in most cities of Iran, has been considered by many urban planners. One of the practical solutions for favorable organizing spatial organization of this tissues is recognizing the present capabilities and potentials in order to optimizing the use and recognition of present problems which this urban tissue enters into urban space, and it disturbs regulation and spatial organization of a city and accelerate declining process of them.. This reveals the necessity of strategic planning in the tissues in order to achieving to sustainable development. This study according to historical background of Yazd assesses the potential and problems of worn neighborhood of Salman Farsi. The Main aim of this study is to understand the characteristics of the physical, economic, social and environmental of these areas, thatafter reviewing the current situation of the neighborhood, planning and organization of them was performed. The method of analysis in this research has been both qualitative and quantitative. Regarding the research identity, the method is analytical and descriptive.. Data collected using the library method. Analyzing of data was performed using SWOT model ARC GIS software. The results indicated that the local population between the years of 1375 to 1385 has declined from 6589 to 5998 with a growth rate 0.9-. This reduction of the population is due to the transferring of population to the newer neighborhoods. the latest results of census shows the number of foreign immigrants is about 497 in this neighborhood, Which the result is indicative of social change at this stage. In this tissuethe phenomenon of migration, particularly migration of people without a sense of belonging, caused to some physical and structural. The final results of SWOT analysis indicates that the weaknesses in the neighborhood with score of 3.11 is the highest and the lowest score is for threates by 2.93. Final approach in this study is a developmental and understanding approach, which proposed regarding to the strategies type, recommended regeneration strategies for revitalization of the neighborhood.
