Measuring and analyzing urban social capital (case study: nasim City)

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to assess and analyze the social capital of urban divisions based on Michael Woolcock (binding social capital, social capital and social capital cementing connecting or communication or connection) Case Study: The City is a nasim shaher. The purpose of the detection rate applied priority indicators, Indicators of direct effect in promoting social capital cities studied. For this purpose, the five components of trust, participation, knowledge, integrity and security in forty-one classification variable nasim and views of the citizens of the city have been evaluated. Therefore, in this study, in terms of targeting, study and application of the methodology, cross - sectional survey in which a questionnaire was used. Sample of 325 residents of the town are a nasim with the terms of geographical distribution and population sampling using random sampling is done. For research purposes, appropriate data analysis, statistical tests T, regression and analysis of variance were used in Spss software. The results indicate that the nasim shaher from the perspective of citizens, all components of social capital cities (other than a partnership) due to lower average than the average poor are at the base of the test T. Also, according to the results of the regression model of selected components of the study and obtained a significant amount of attention to all components of social capital, social capital is a city with a direct connection with. Components of social security with a beta coefficient of 0/391, social cohesion beta coefficient of 0/349, and community involvement with the beta coefficient of 0/311 to have the greatest impact on social capital cities but also from the perspective of citizens, there is no significant difference between the areas of the city a nasim shaher.
