Abstract

Today urban eroded textures are one of the obstacles for realization of modern management oh urbanism. The city of Yazd has 2600 hectares old texture. Identifying the physical and functional status of the textures is an important work for planning, manage, maintaining. In this study, the neighborhood of Mujahideen has been analyzed and evaluated on the base of major indicators such as buildings, socio–economic status and the quality of current land uses. The methodology of the research is based on descriptive- analytical approaches and the data was collected by conducting a field work and documentary records. The results showed that the residents of the neighborhood declined from 5317 in 1375 to 4922 in 1385 and moved to other areas of the city. Also the neighborhood illustrated major physical old structures and the existing uses cannot meet the needs of its residents. Such condition disturbed the spatial organization of the area where many incompatible uses are dysfunction the general activities of the neighborhood.
